Your baby will always feel safe and loved at Building Blocks. Our teachers provide a loving, nurturing environment that encourages exploring, interaction with others and a happy sense of security every day. For your baby, feeling safe, happy and loved is the most important thing. Through holding, playing and talking with your child, we give individualized care and attention that help develop the foundations for security and a love of learning. Our teachers will provide daily reports about your baby, such as eating and sleeping habits, and other special moments, so you won’t miss a thing.
Building Blocks requires that infants be at least six weeks old at the time of enrollment. We will follow the parent or guardian’s written diet plan and use the food you provide until your baby is on regular table food. Finally, we require a physical examination and current immunizations before and throughout enrollment.
Daily supplies to be provided by parents:
1. Formula or breast milk for your infant
2. Disposable diapers and wipes
3. Baby food/special meals
4. Two complete changes of clothes to be left at the Center

Toddlers still need individualized feeding and sleeping schedules, as well as lots of care, attention and interaction. Since children learn through playing and exploring, our teachers will provide them with a wide range of activities throughout the day. Language, communication and toilet training skills are developed during this period. Structured physical activities are planned daily to aid in the development of your child’s motor skills and to promote overall good health.
Daily supplies to be provided by parents:
1. Disposable diapers and wipes
2. Special meals
3. A complete change of clothes to be left at the Center

Preschool at Building Blocks Child Development Center is an exciting time of discovery. There are special programs for each age and stage of development of preschoolers. Reading is stressed and the children are introduced to the key concepts that build literacy using books, stories and daily activities. Lessons, centers and activities become progressively more advanced as children master the skills they’ll need to excel in their school years. Along with reading, math and science basics, children develop creativity and self-confidence through art, music, dramatic play and social interaction.

Children have just had a long, hard day at school, and they probably want to let loose
and have some fun. We have designed a loosely-structured program with a welcoming atmosphere. School-age children (through the age of 12) are involved in a variety of
fun activities and projects that challenge their creativity, problem-solving and
decision-making skills. Your after-schooler will experience a balance of fun and learning at Building Blocks.
Our summer program for school-age children is structured, fun-filled, academically based, and offers new projects and activities each week. Our summer program promises to be a truly rewarding and fun experience for your child.

We want to help you give your child every advantage. That’s why we offer optional enrichment classes, such as Gymnastics, Dancing and Cheerleading. Our classes will focus on reading, foreign languages, sign language and the Arts with specialized instructors and small group settings. These additional fun and learning opportunities compliment the foundation of Building Blocks Child Development Center’s philosophy and curriculum.
